Faith Bible Church was established in 2005 as a church plant from Grace Evangelical Free Church of Allen, Texas. Fifteen families left Grace Church and followed the call of God to begin a new work in our burgeoning area of the metroplex. While sojourning in four different buildings as a church, it has always remained in McKinney, Texas.

Faith Bible Church is a member church of the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA). This “denomination” is similar to other voluntary denominations like the Southern Baptist Convention. The EFCA provides our church with church-to-church networking, administrative help and resources, insurance for our pastors and staff, and cooperative ministry and missions opportunities. However, as the EFCA is not authoritative in ordering, operating, or governing local churches, Faith Bible Church remains autonomous and subject only to its elders and members. See the EFCA’s statement of faith on the next page.

Church Ministries:

Faith Bible Church strives to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through strategic ministry avenues. We have a women’s ministry offering mid-week Bible studies and an annual weekend retreat. Our children’s ministry is called TREK (Teaching and Reaching Every Kid) and it meets Sunday mornings by age group. The student ministry offers two Wednesday night Bible studies, one for high school student and one for junior high students. The student ministry also hosts several activities and a summer camp every year. The men’s ministry meets periodically for mid-week Bible studies and the occasional conference or retreat. All of these ministries exist in our church for one end: “to equip the saints for the work of the ministry” (Ephesians 4:12).

Outreach and Missions:

We strive to cultivate a healthy perspective on our role as witnesses of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community and around the world. Most recently, our church has developed a partnership with an orphanage and missions outpost in Bolivia. We have taken several yearly trips to Bolivia with members of all ages. Also, we have developed a relationship with a low-income apartment complex a few blocks from our church building. We long to see this develop into a perpetual opportunity to share the gospel within our immediate context as a church.
